The primary purpose of WeBWorK is to let you know that you are getting the correct answer or to alert you if you are making some kind of mistake. Usually you can attempt a problem as many times as you want before the due date. However, if you are having trouble figuring out your error, you should consult the book, or ask a fellow student, or your professor for help. Don't spend a lot of time guessing -- it's not very efficient or effective. It is important that you begin the assignment early and try a problem as soon as the material has been presented in class so that you may ask for clarification.

Any computer may be used to access Webwork. You may wish to print out the assignment and to work on it off-line. When working on-line, use the Email Instructor button after you have tried the problem a few times yourself.  I will be monitoring the email to answer your questions as soon as I can.  I will be able to see what you tried to enter  and can give you hints as to what you are doing wrong.  The tutors in the Math Learning Center are a good resource to help you get started with the program. The tutors will try to clear up difficulties that you have. The tutors WILL NOT do the problems for you.

WebWork SAVES your correct answers, so you can do the problems as you learn the material. READ the Instructions, there is a learning curve to the correct way of entering information.  Working problems everyday will keep you current.
