Non-uniform Gabor bases and frames have attracted the attention of the sampling and signal processing community in recent years. But oddly there hasn't been a single example of a non-uniform Gabor basis. In this talk we show that under some minor conditions Gabor bases must be uniform in the 1 dimension. We also show that non-uniform Gabor bases do exist in higher dimensions.
