Wavelet Frames (or framelets) are a relatively new tool for data representation. They have many attractive properties. Framelets combine the redundancy of representation, compression properties, and highly effective numerical algorithms for expansion and reconstruction of data. So they provide us with an ideal tool for coding multimedia signals for transmission through noisy channels (for example, wireless transmission). We will give a short introduction to the theory of frames with an accent to their error correcting properties. We also present a demo showing a work of the error correcting algorithm.
